  I was quite unimpressed with Dr. Allen's nonchalant attitude towards my plantar fasciitis dilemma. In the first visit he, took x-rays, gave me a cortisone injection, and scanned my feet for orthotics. Dr. Allen also told me not to manually stretch my plantar factia with my hand or against a wall, but only stretch it by bending my toes up toward my knee. It didn't seem to help at all. During my second visit, Dr. Allen never even looked at my foot, or showed any concern as to it's progress. When I was given the $300 orthotics, I very carefully, and politely asked the legitimate question of how the orthotics could fit properly when the scan was taken while my feet were swollen. The nurse immediately took a defensive posture and left to get Dr. Allen. I was not rude or belligerent. I only asked a legitimate inquisitive question. When Dr Allen and the nurse returned, I was not made to feel comfortable, but quite the contrary. Dr. Allen was defensive and curt instead of kind and understanding. It just seems like Dr. Allen is just going through the motions. This problem effects every aspect of my life, and he was quite indifferent about it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Allen. I will be following up with a different doctor, in a different practice, for my plantar fasciitis is still giving me loads of trouble. Dr. Allen, I am sorry to upset you, but hope this opens your eyes to help others better.
